Fourth of July!

Fourth of July was a fun day. Jason had Monday off also which made it nice. He also decided to work in Cedar Rapids on Wednesday so we could stay for the fireworks.

Ally participated in her first three-legged race with Alex. They didn't win but they got candy!



Also the parade was fun in Grinnell. Every time someone would throw us candy, Drew would jump up and down yelling "Cani, cani" Aunt Rachel saved a couple handfuls for them - Thanks?!?!? We were at the end of the parade route and the kids after us weren't too happy that she emptied her bucket on us!



We forgot the birthday candles for mom's cupcake tower, so Jason improvised with matches. Ally kept blowing them out before mom could blow!

They stayed up for the fireworks, but were in a daze. Drew just cuddled in the blanket with me. (it was cold!) Ally talks non-stop when she is tired and gave a running commentary for the event!
